Grid Details
Just 16 cars on the grid. It was another bad qualifying for the driver: following his result of 20th and last in the previous race, leading to an eighth position in the main race, he did not manage to make it out of the first qualifying segment again on Friday. Ferrari have as a result adjusted to his car configuration and so he begins from the pit lane.
Aston Martin's Stroll and the Alpine duo of Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto are all starting from the same position.

Constructors' Championship

Alright, just over twenty minutes to go till the short race gets under way. Barring disaster, its main importance is as a preview of what is to come, instead of highly important in its own right, with only eight points awarded to the winner. However, second place in this race was sufficient for the driver to become champion in a prior season.
